Mobile UI Design
Below are various layouts that I have designed for mobile event apps and games. Each design has a brief explanation on what it was that I had designed.
NAC Event App 2020
This was planned to be the new and updated view for the NAC 2020 event app. This years main goal was to incorporate the normally printed handout schedule book into more of a digital solution. Also, this year I wanted each attended to be able to customize how the app looks for them. With a "Main" section where you can add certain activities to and access that information quickly without having to search through the app. In this solution I was also tasked to create a more natural feel for advertisements and spots for sponsors.
NAC Event App 2019
The NAC event app has to be my favorite! I wanted to keep this one clean and fun. The event is based on concessions and well, who dosent love to eat awesome food at any event. That's why I went with a crumpled piece of paper for the background. To try and convey in a simple manner that the user is holding a piece of concession. I also designed the buttons and Icons to follow the flow and overall feel.
CIMCC Augmented Scavenger Hunt
This design was for the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center augmented reality scavenger hunt. This one was also another favorite mainly because of the interaction with the museum. This first branding board came back with a few comments that the initial design was more in line with Native americans from the plains states. I felt bad that I had not done efficient research but was provided with more samples and turned around this simple design.
Prize Pursuit Augmented Reality Game
Prize Pursuit is and augmented reality scavenger hunt that offers users instant and monthly prizes. Simple, clean, and ready to play. The layout for the icon for the user to enter the main screen is on the left and main screen on the right. This game is hosted in another app so design the flow to match the existing theme was fun. The logo was designed by another artist. The layout and play button was designed by me.
ShowSouth Event App
Showsouth event app is a very simple, modest and entry level design for a client. Offering the same amount of content but without customized buttons.
